A.I. Welding Machines for the production of long welded rail are designed on the tunnel principle to provide complete rigidity throughout.
With the rail positioned centrally on the longitudinal axis of the machine and welding and stripping forces applied in-line with the rail, off set loading that might cause distortion and consequent joint misalignment is avoided.
A fully automated weld control system eliminates risk of operator error which combined with P.L.C. Sequencing provides complete reliability and consistency in operation.
A.I. offers a range of Welding Machines for production of long welded rail, suitable for rail sections up to 78 kg/m conforming to British Standards (BS), International Union of Railways (UIC) and American Rail Engineering Association (AREA) specifications. Machine selection is determined by material composition, rail size and production requirements.
